We had another pretty successful Halford Hewitt. In the first round we defeated Canford 4-1. It was a pretty tight affair but our fifth pair, Giles Pickford and James Boyle, won four holes in a row from the hut at RSGC to get the win.
Second round against The Leys was pretty comfortable before losing to Haileybury 3-2. The final match went down 18 at Deal and the opposition caught a good lie over the back of the green to chip close and secure the win.
Rosaall beat Winchester in the final.
Of particular note was Marcus Ferguson-Jones/George Wilkinson and Jamie Richards/Cameron Montgomerie getting 3 wins each. James and Giles got 2.
The standard of golf was very high and we had 10+ supporters for each game which was great.
Was great fun and with some good young golfers recently coming out of school the future looks very good for OC golf.
