We got off to a good start beating Aldenham 3-0. In the afternoon we played the defending champs, Forest, and whilst we played pretty well they played some brilliant golf. They had three of their current Hewitt team and were just too good for us on the day. For me it was great to play with Pete Russell who I was in the same year at school and Staples and Bartlett resumed sporting activities which stretched back to 1st XI cricket around 1980 (still arguing about Staples taking Jerome out of the attack!!). Great fun.
In the Peter Burles we lost to Aldenham and then won a very exciting match in extra holes against Oundle before losing in the second round of the plate to Haileybury.
Derek and Peter marginally missed out in qualifying for the KO stage of the Bunny Millard.
